Remembrance Blog Tour Day 6: Touching Letter From a Fan

We did some rearranging of my blog tour, so I'm taking day six. I find this quite serendipitous actually, because it gives me an opportunity to share this awesome bit of fan mail that I received yesterday. It's from a middle school teacher down in Florida. It made my day--it's the kind of correspondence authors live for. I'd like to share it with you.

Sometimes I read a book and write a review, but the book stays with me for a long time. I want you to know that this is how your book has impacted me. I can think of only one other book that made me feel the same way and I recommend it to you. It is called "Quest For the Nailprints" by Don Furr.

Your series is the type of book I want on my shelf. Twenty-four years ago I sat in my first classroom. It was in a private Christian school. There were so many things wrong there. Our principal was what I termed at the time "so heavenly minded he was no earthly good." In his mind, everything was a sin. Your book would have definitely been added to the pile when he did his book burning in the parking lot. I applied to another local Christian school. The preacher recommended I teach in the public system. I told him I would be fired for sure because I couldn't keep my mouth shut about God. He laughed and said, "Don't you think people in the public system need to hear about God and he is going to use you?" So I prayed and began my journey into the public school system. It has never been easy, but God has always given me student prayer warriors. I have made it my business to keep all types of books on my shelves. However, I have made it my business to put as many God-centered books on my shelves as possible. I've met some wonderful authors that way. Then I had a student ask me to write books and put them on my shelves. So I wrote my first one. I was told by a teacher that the schools would never allow it in because it talked about a girl's relationship with God. Two years ago one of the teachers in my school bought a classroom set and taught my book in my own school. Finding the balance is what I have learned is so difficult. We want people, old and young alike, to learn about God's love. I will continue in my efforts to find that balance. In the meantime I will rely on authors like you to fill my shelves with the books I find most important for my classroom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can't wait to promote these books to my students. You and yoru books have been a blessing to me. May God richly bless you and your writing.

The official Remembrance Book Blog Tour Starts Here

I'm so excited for the release of my newest book, Remembrance. It is the third and final book in the Quantum Faith Effect series. This unique series is not your typical dark, depressing YA speculative fiction. Travel with 15 year old Josh through books and walk in the shoes of historical giants like George Washington, Galileo and George Frideric Handel and join Josh's quest to find out if God is really there in the QUANTUM FAITH EFFECT series.

In book three, Remembrance, Josh battles the school district in an effort to maintain the 80 year old tradition of singing the Hallelujah Chorus at his high school after book traveling the life of George Frideric Handel. While traveling another book, he experiences a dystopic society that is falling apart because it has forgotten its past. He realizes his own world is headed down the same path. When he travels through the Christmas story in the Bible, and feels first-hand the love of Christ, his battle for the Hallelujah Chorus takes on new meaning. It is imperative that he helps others remember what Christmas is all about.
The book is also filled with crazy friends and a new girlfriend that complicate his efforts.
